Strickland's Frustration with UFC Pay

Sean Strickland has expressed dissatisfaction with his pay from the UFC, feeling he is not compensated fairly. He made these comments following the announcement of the final numbered UFC event for the year, which will feature Charles Oliveira against Diego Lopes. Strickland has indicated he plans to fight before the end of 2026, aiming for a return in December.

Title Fight Changes

Despite being available, Strickland will not compete at UFC 335, as the promotion opted for a different title fight instead. This decision has further fueled his frustrations, especially after Nassourdine Imavov offered to pay him. Strickland took to social media to share his feelings, stating, "I gotta be honest, unless things change with the UFC, I’m kinda over it."

Considering a Move to Light Heavyweight

Strickland referenced other fighters, including Conor McGregor and Jake Paul, while contemplating the possibility of moving to light heavyweight. He suggested that leaving his middleweight title behind to pursue fights with higher pay could be appealing. He elaborated on this idea, mentioning that the prospect of relinquishing his belt to fight in a different weight class for greater financial rewards is enticing.

Strickland's ongoing negotiations with the UFC remain unresolved, and no specific fight has been confirmed for him at this time.
