Robert Whittaker will face Bogdan Guskov in the UFC Sydney co-main event on February 7, 2027.

Robert Whittaker will face Bogdan Guskov in the UFC Sydney co-main event on February 7, 2027, at AfterPay Arena in Sydney, Australia.
Whittaker Returns to Sydney at Light Heavyweight
The former middleweight champion is scheduled to continue at 205 pounds after beating Nikita Krylov by third-round stoppage at UFC 329. That win ended a two-fight losing streak. Whittaker, who was born in New Zealand and fights out of Sydney, has not competed in the city since November 2014, when he defeated Clint Hester at UFC Sydney: Rockhold vs. Bisping.
Whittaker has a 27-9 record, while Guskov is 18-4-1. The UFC’s Meta AI rankings and the media rankings place Guskov at No. 10 and Whittaker at No. 11.
Guskov Comes Off Ankalaev Loss
Guskov’s most recent outing ended in a TKO loss to Magomed Ankalaev at UFC Abu Dhabi in July. It halted a five-fight unbeaten run that included four wins and a draw against former light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz.
The matchup was announced by promotion officials, with Whittaker revealing it in a video. It gives the Sydney-based fighter a return to his home city against an opponent ranked one place above him in both cited rankings.
UFC Sydney Card
The card is headlined by Quillan Salkilld against Benoît Saint Denis at lightweight. Reported matchups also include George Mangos vs. Dagiisuren Chagnaadorj, the Road to UFC Season 5 featherweight final; Rabindra Dhant vs. Ryo Tajima, the bantamweight final; Ji Niushiyue vs. Takaya Suzuki, the flyweight final; Park Bo-hyun vs. Meng Bo, the women’s strawweight final; and Yoo Joo-sang vs. Marwan Rahiki.
UFC Sydney is scheduled for February 7, 2027, at AfterPay Arena.
