Head Kicks Dominate UFC Vegas 122 Bonus Awards

Performance of the Night Bonuses

UFC Vegas 122 showcased nine finishes, compensating for a lack of star power. The event, headlined by Brendan Allen versus Christian Leroy Duncan, saw four fighters earn Performance of the Night bonuses. Notably, Andre Fili and Otari Tanzilovi each received $100,000 for their spectacular head kicks, which occurred in the opening fights of the main card.

Allen's Submission Victory

Brendan Allen secured another victory, submitting Duncan in the fifth round. After dragging Duncan to the mat, Allen managed to take his back and locked in a choke. Despite Duncan's initial resistance, he ultimately had to submit. This win marked Allen's fourth consecutive victory, and he expressed interest in facing former middleweight champion Dricus Du Plessis next.

Pereira's Dominant Performance

Alice Pereira also earned a $100,000 bonus after her opponent, Darya Zheleznyakova, was unable to continue following a severe cut after the first round. The remaining five fighters who achieved stoppages on the card received $25,000 finishing bonuses, including Niko Price, Julius Walker, Francisco Prado, Brendson Ribeiro, and Allen Frye Jr.
